사무엘상(1 Samuel)31:1-13(사울과 그 아들들의 죽음) 블레셋과 이스라엘의 전쟁은 이스라엘에 불리하게 전개된다. 블레셋은 사울의 아들들을 죽이고 사울도 비극적인 끝을 맞는다. 블레셋은 사울과 아들들의 시체를 모욕하고 길르앗 야베스 사람들의 선행으로 그들을 장사한다. 1. 사무엘상(1 Samuel)27:1-28:2(블레셋으로 도망친 다윗) 사울의 추격을 피해 블레셋 땅으로 도망친 다윗은 가드 왕 아기스에게 넘어간다. 다윗을 받아들인 아기스는 시글락 성읍은 다윗에서 주고 다윗은 아기스의 호감을 얻기 위해 거짓말을 한다. 그를 믿은 아기스는 이스라엘을 같이 습격할 것을 요구한다. 1.
